Michael Sacks, LPC
If you’re looking for a therapist who asks, “How was your week?” and then waits for the hour to run out, Michael probably isn’t your guy.
With more than three decades of clinical experience, Michael listens for the patterns beneath what is happening now: why the same conflict keeps resurfacing, why stress turns into anger, or why a reaction feels bigger than the moment calls for. He works with adults facing anxiety, stress, emotional reactivity, relationship difficulties, and the lasting effects of painful childhood experiences.
Michael is engaged and practical. He asks thoughtful questions, offers honest insight, and helps you connect earlier experiences to present challenges. When useful, that work may include exploring “inner child” wounds: the fear, hurt, or unmet needs that still shape how you respond today. Together, you can turn those insights into changes you can use outside the therapy room.
Michael also works with adolescents and children. His extensive experience helps young clients feel safe enough to express what they may not yet have words for.
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or how to explain it. Michael will help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and find a way forward.
